iCarrots Incentive Solutions
Client Profile:
iCarrots.com offers websites for promotional products distributors who sell imprinted merchandise. The company needed a dynamic web-based system that could accommodate both the hundreds of distributors using the site to sell promotional products, and the thousands of customers purchasing from the sites.
iCarrots.com wanted to achieve two main goals in the development of their system: to develop a point-based program for redeeming award merchandise; and to build online promotional products stores for distributors to sell directly to their customers.
What We Did:
Because the iCarrots site is one of the first to incorporate both a point-based incentive approach and company stores into one system, we built an automatic domain registration and configuration process using PHP and web service integration technologies. We also incorporated a theme-based template engine that gave distributors the flexibility to manage their own websites.
In addition, we developed an ecommerce engine that would allow distributors to place products on the site from a pre-established database of products and then resell using real-time credit card processing and merchant service fulfillment. Another key feature we added was modular merchant integration software to tie all ordering directly to each merchant's account using ACH fund transfers. This modular approach also allowed us to work with merchant service providers including Card Services International, LinkPoint and AuthorizeNet.
Within one year of launching this software, iCarrots has seen a 120% sales increase while operating costs have decreased significantly by removing the printing, maintenance and coordination fees of previous procedures.
